•Ifyouarereplacinganopticaldrive,disconnectthesignalcablefromthesystemboardand
disconnectthepowercablefromthebackplane.Presstherearoftheretainingbracket1inthe
directionasshownandpushtheopticaldrivefromtherearuntilitisprojectedfromthefrontofthe
chassis.Then,holdtheopticaldrivefromthefrontandcompletelyslideitoutofthechassis.

•Ifyouareinstallinganopticaldrive,removethedummyopticaldrivetray.Thewayofremovingthe

Storethedummyopticaldrivetrayintheeventthatyoulaterremovetheopticaldriveandneedthe
dummyopticaldrivetraytocovertheplace.
6.Touchthestatic-protectivepackagethatcontainsthenewopticaldrivetoanyunpaintedsurfaceonthe
outsideoftheserver.Then,takethenewopticaldriveoutofthepackage.
7.Removetheretainingbracketfromtheoldopticaldriveorthedummyopticaldrivetray.Then,installit
onthesideofthenewopticaldrive.
