11.Connecttheservertoanacpowersourceandwaitseveralseconds.Then,turnontheserver.

2BIOSdefaultsettingsjumper
UsethejumpertorecovertheBIOStothefactorydefaultsettings.
Note:Aftertherecovery,allyourBIOSpasswordsareerasedandtheBIOSrecoverstothefactorydefault
settings.
Torecoveryourservertothefactorydefaultsettings,dothefollowing:
1.Removeallmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,disconnectall
powercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtotheserver.
2.Iftheserverisinstalledinarackcabinet,removetheserverfromtherackcabinetandplaceitonaflat,
clean,andstatic-protectivesurface.SeetheRackInstallationInstructionsthatcomeswiththeserver.If
theserverisintowerformfactor,laytheserveronitssideforeasieroperation.
3.Removetheservercover.See“Removingtheservercover”onpage66.
4.Removethecoolingshroud.See“Removingthecoolingshroud”onpage69.
5.LocatetheBIOSdefaultsettingsjumperonthesystemboard.Then,removeanypartsanddisconnect
anycablesthatmightimpedeyouraccesstothejumper.
6.MovetheBIOSdefaultsettingsjumperfromthedefaultnormalposition(pin1andpin2)tothe
short-circuitedposition(pin2andpin3).
7.Reinstallanypartsandreconnectanycables.Then,reinstalltheservercover.See“Completingthe

.
8.Connecttheservertoanacpowersourceandwaitseveralseconds.Then,turnontheserver.TheBIOS
